MAX Bepop SL-R117RC yellow (CMYK – Y) ribbon cassette, 60 m for CPM-100HG5M

SL-R117RC is a yellow (CMYK – Y) refillable cassette (rc) – takes sl-tr refills with 60 m of ribbon for the CPM-100HG5M print-and-cut label maker (100 type). The print head heats the resin ink to about 250 °C and fuses it into the vinyl surface, so text resists solvents, cleaners and UV far better than inkjet or laser printing.

This is one of the four CMYK process colours (cyan – magenta – yellow – black). The printer applies each colour in turn to produce photos, multi-colour logos and GHS pictograms with red borders; you need all four cassettes SL-R115 – SL-R118 and a white sheet for accurate colour.

When the ribbon runs out, keep the cassette and fit the refill SL-TR117 to save cost.

Specifications and printing

Loading the cassette

• Turn the printer off and open the top cover.
• Hold the cassette and turn the gear in the arrow direction to tension the ribbon.
• Hook the cassette onto the cover and press until it clicks.
• Close the cover until it locks and power on; select the loaded ink colour in the driver for multi-colour jobs.
• Print a small test label to check density and position.

Storage and troubleshooting

• Store in the closed box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and dust; do not touch the ink side.
• Faint or broken text: clean the head with an alcohol swab, check the ribbon is taut and raise the density in the driver.
• Wrinkled ribbon: re-tension with the cassette gear before loading.
