Yellow heat-shrink tube φ6 mm (VNCTU506)

VNCTU506 is a yellow heat-shrink tube, φ6 mm. Slide it over a joint, lug or wire end and heat it with a hot-air gun so it shrinks tightly – insulating, sealing against moisture and dust and securing the joint.

Yellow is commonly used to identify phases, circuit groups or special signal wires; wire numbers can be printed on it with a MAX LETATWIN printer using the heat-shrink ribbon (LM-IR50BP) when the size is within the printer's range.

Using heat-shrink tube

• Cut the tube 5 – 10 mm longer than the area to cover at each end.
• Slide it onto the wire before crimping or soldering.
• Heat evenly from the centre outwards, keeping the gun moving to avoid scorching.
• Let it cool before bending the wire.

Printing on heat-shrink

• Use the black BP ribbon LM-IR50BP on LM-550 printers and select heat-shrink tube on the printer.
• Print first, then shrink; text shrinks with the tube, so use a slightly larger character size.
